a Christmas wish for you

Dottie- my dear little Deuty.
You are four and growing up and yet still my little baby. I love that you remain a cuddler and have those infant tendencies though I also see you becoming independent and growing into a wonderful little girl. Do you know that each night you tell ME to have sweet dreams and that you love me? If you only knew I felt about you- I wish you could - because you melt my heart each day. In the car I sometimes sneak a peak at you inthe backseat and you might be (a) gazing out the window in deep thought (I always wonder what is on that mind of yours (b) you are singing, shaking your head and neck until you notice me spotting you (c) deep in imaginary play with puppies or any other soft toy. The smaller the better.

I hope you always feel loved Dottie and and are surrounded by people who love you. I hope you and your sister remain thick as thieves and the very best of friends. Hazel loves you so much and wants to protect you and make you happy. I hope you have courage to do those things in life that you want to do and not be too afraid or worried about not succeeding. You can do ANYTHING if you decide to do it Dottie.

But always know that whatever happens in life, your daddy and me will be there for you. Love you. Take care of you. We will want to spend every Christmas with you.
I love you.

Inner tubing

we had a great time today with Jemma. while we only took two runs own the inner tube path, you kids played in the snow, threw snowballs and made snow angels : )

Nutcracker

What a great night- we ate at the space needle (they even had a snow machine during certain parts of the rotation and then we watched the Nutcracker (thanks to George Balanchine). A new tradition for us and I loved being with my wonderful family.

Visiting Santa

what a great day- while we waited to visit Santa we rode the carousel, visited the gingerbread houses at he Sheraton hotel and finally visited the jolly guy. It was the first year you both sat on his lap at the same time and told him what you wanted. Dottie wanted a Rudolph nose and a treasure box and Hazel asked for a robot dog which Santa thought was kind of great and asked her for a robot reindeer!

A new (old) piano

A beaut- 1936 Wurlitzer baby grand.

Thanksgiving
