give peas a chance

this week you ate solid food that wasn't rice cereal for the 1st time. PEAS!
You seemed to like it the first time but now on day 3 you don't seem into eating. Just a few bites here and there.

You're also a super big talker these days. Baby babble but talking none the less.
Also, you are so close to sitting up by yourself. By this week I'm sure.

a whidbey wedding

this last weekend Jon and Mark got married and we were all in attendance. In fact, the pre-wedding festivities and the post wedding brunch happened at our beach house. It was rainy, crowded and noisy but a fun weekend. You both looked so cute and Dottie was all smiles and Hazel was aggressively playing with toys and running around.
Hazel- you enjoyed playing with Cameron and Kristin and by the end of the weekend you became friends with Jon (you originally told me that Jon was scary!)

A first for mommy- attending a wedding with two boys but a sweet and memorable event.
I hope you both find eternal loves one day and that you are happy beyond belief.

Month 5 my little buttercup

firsts

Two weeks ago we introduced you to formula- how do you do, nice to meet you!
We did this because I was going on an 8 day trip to China for work and we weren't sure if there was enough frozen milk to get you through the time. You did just fine and we slowly began to put a little bit into your bottles each day until it got close to 50/50. While I am still nursing you, its nice to have a back-up just in case.

Tonight, we introduced you to rice cereal (brown rice cereal to keep it extra healthy). You gobbled it up, pushing the spoon into your little, perfectly shaped mouth. So proud of you! No gagging, no head turns, only excitement and eagerness to put that white, mushy watered down paste into your little mouth.

You're now 5 months old- a smily, adorable, happy-go-lucky little baby and I couldn't love anyone more than you right now (well, maybe Hazel and daddy : ))
