You right now

You are crawling! Not on your knees, but so quickly I can't keep up with you! You drag yourself around by your arms and puff out of your mouth.

Teeth- you have about zero right now with about none in sight. I hope they come in soon!

Giggling- you are interacting with us and you love to giggle. A blow of your hair, a kiss on your belly, a surprised raise of the arms. It cracks you up. So much fun.

Eating- you like yogurt, baby food and milk but I can't get you to enjoy anything near solid such as mum mums or Cheerios. You give me a look of gagging and over dramatic coughing.

Sleep- where to begin. You are a lot of things, but certainly not a good sleeper. You wake up still about 3-4 times a night. You fall back to sleep quickly but you are making your mommy sleep deprived. Good thing you're worth it : )

Being a sister- you love watching your sister. When your in your carseat you lean forward do you can keep your eyes on hazel. It looks so uncomfortable but sweet. You follow her, want to be near her and smile the biggest smile when you see her. Hazelnut loves you so much as well and she often refers to you as "her best friend."

Name- somehow we've started using hazels nickname for you and I can't shake it little Doucy.

Love- what I feel for you every time I see your little face, that big smile, your chubby little arms and your ever turning red mop on your head.

I love you little Dottie Doucy.

Ear infection (s)

3rd ear infection since mid may. Or, the same one that just won't go away. Needless to say you are on round three of antibiotics which I hate! But hopefully you get better soon. I just want you to sleep through the night for once. Xoxo

Housing changes

A week and a half ago our condo flooded while you and hazel were fast asleep. The next night (and the 3 following) we stayed at a hotel. Not bad because they had a pool so we got to go swimming but not ideal because we were living our of a suitcase. Luckily we finally found a one bedroom for rent in the building across from ours in the same complex and we tucked your toddler bed and the crib into the office nook. It actually works just fine but we're still in a bit of a disarray. Luckily we brought plenty of your toys over and the view is basically the same. It will work for a few months but I can't wait until we move back home. Grams and papa also moved out of their house last weekend so no one is in the right location.
