cutey pie at school this week

fall transition time! Moving upstairs (mommy is sad this is happening!)

Good Morning Families,

In putting out transition information last night, I noticed a few errors I made in my text below.  Your children are slated to transition to Early Preschool D, and the teaching team in the room is Tara Grendon, Hanna Benkert and Mekides Seneshaw.  Tara and Hanna will be reaching out to you to set up intakes in the month of July.  The transition schedule is still the same as below.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

little bit about you

I'm still not sure what your personality will be like. You seem to be evolving ever so slightly so I won't predict until later… all I will say is that you are a sweetie with red-headed fire to you : )

Usually you are so sweet. But lately you have shown this enormous impatience side to you that results in temper tantrums, butting your head against things, shouting out "no, no, no!" and hitting mommy and daddy. Your mood could change because we wouldn't let you stand on the garbage can to wash your hands (bad mommy!) or if we need to put your hair in a ponytail (even worse mommy!). Sometimes its if you want to do something by yourself which I totally understand the desire for independence or it could happen in the morning if I can't pick you up and cuddle and this just doesn't work for you.

As far as sleeping. Oy vey. Sleeping…
You still are not a super star when it comes to sleeping but you were getting better and even slept through the entire night without waking us up a few times until the last week. Perhaps its because daddy and I went to a wedding on Bainbridge and left you with grams or because you are getting a handful of teeth bulging through your mouth skin all at once. Who knows, but we're back on a bad trajectory. I feel a turning point coming and thinking we'll get you into a sleeping routine soon.
xoxoxo

With words you are also rocking that! Here are some of your phrases (a partial list of course!)
All done
more milk
thank you (do doo)
all wet
big step
pasta
night night
einsteins
uh oh
baby
bye bye

You are a very pretty girl with the met gorgeous reddish curls. Your eyes were very blue but they are turning blue with a hint of green. Your pudgy belly is round and happy and you have the most smooth white skin I have ever felt. I love to kiss you tummy and those chubby legs and arms. You still are the best hugger around.

I love you so much my dear Dottie.
I can't imagine life without your smirks, smiles and warmth.

Late- Easter in Arizona

we all headed to AZ for Easter with grams and papa. You began to enjoy the pool but the big hit (as always) was little pooper, aka Porter.
It was warm and we went to the playground often, swam in the pool, went on walks in the neighborhood (including getting lost and having to call papa for a pick up). It was a fast trip but fun times for everyone, especially grams and papa who miss you guys so much.

Finally! Choppers for Dottie

you are just over 19 months old and are finally getting more than 4 teeth! Yeah Dottie!!
Your back top molars are beginning to pop through and there are early signs of life that your bottom back molars are coming. But that's not all… you are also getting a bottom tooth (next to the bottom two) and two on top (on either side of your top two)! Pretty soon you'll have no excuse for not eating the food we put in front of you : )
